Google Analytics support

The player can work with Google Analytics just like your webpages do. Imagine your video as a single webpage and you have a great tool to measure and analyize popularity.

logo_ga.gifThis feature works everywhere where the player is embedded, no matter is it your website or not. While Google Analytics has no Flash support, the player has a unique mechanism to use it still.

Session management of Google Analytics is working as well, using Flash's local storage.

There are 4 parameters per video in the JSON format to set up Google Analytics support:

ga_id
Your website profile's Google Analytics id. It's recommended to set up a separate website profile for your video views. Example: UA-211941-23.
ga_domain
The domain associated to the website profile. Please set up properly, othervise the analytics will not be reliable. Example: channelviews.stubes.net (no http:// !!!!).
ga_path
The virtual path under your domain for this video. This is an imaginery path, no real, existing path needed. Example: videos/2008/04/26/myvideo (please note there is no / in the beginning).
ga_attachurl
A boolean value. Set it to true, if you want the embedding webpage's url attached to ga_path. An example result may look like this: videos/2008/04/26/myvideo/http://www.example.com/myvideo.html.

You can measure the success of your other-websites-embedded videos this way. It returns with an empty string usually, but the 20-30% success is enough to track where is your video embedded.
